Pakenham Lakeside Primary School Ninja Course

At Pakenham Lakeside Primary School, the vision to enhance their outdoor spaces is guided by a thoughtful master plan, and the addition of a Ninja Course marks an exciting milestone. Collaborating closely with the school’s leadership team and grade 6 student leaders, Safe Play Australia designed and installed a vibrant, inclusive, and fun-filled course that reflects the school’s unique character and priorities.

The leadership team provided a creative brief: a ninja course complemented by seating on one side—doubling as a play feature—and a twister panel for children to enjoy while waiting their turn. This vision came to life through an interactive design process, where three options were presented to the student leaders. They enthusiastically chose their favorite and customized it with a distinctive Aboriginal-inspired color scheme, fostering a strong sense of ownership and cultural pride.

The final design is a standout! Featuring four synthetic grass colors, including a striking central path, the course invites exploration and active play. Balancing orbs are thoughtfully placed off to one side, encouraging balance and coordination, while a twister panel with vibrant spots adds a playful interactive element. Clear start and finish signs complete the course, making it an engaging challenge for children of all abilities.

As the proud suppliers and installers of this project, we’re thrilled to have contributed to Pakenham Lakeside Primary School’s vision of fostering creativity, inclusivity, and active play. The Ninja Course is more than a playground; it’s a space where students can test their skills, enjoy teamwork, and build lasting memories
