Safe Play completely transformed the Chiltern Community Hub Childcare playspace into a safer, brighter, and more engaging environment, featuring a huge sandpit (“Bunk Bed”), synthetic grass bike track with shock pads, cantilever shade structures, new fencing, granitic sand paths, vegetable gardens, ironbark log seats, and a mulch area with an ironbark teepee for endless outdoor fun.

Working with Indigo Shire Council, we completely transformed the outdoor play area at Chiltern Community Hub Childcare, creating a brighter, safer, and more engaging space for young children to enjoy. The entire playspace was excavated and cleared, removing outdated elements to make way for a fresh and functional design.
Key features of the upgrade include a huge sandpit, affectionately named the “Bunk Bed” by the kids, as well as two large cantilever umbrellas and a cantilever shade over the ramp for all-day sun protection. A synthetic grass bike track with shock pads provides a soft, safe surface for active play, while new fencing, granitic sand paths, vegetable garden beds, and ironbark log seats create a welcoming, natural setting. To encourage imaginative play, we also installed a mulch area featuring an ironbark teepee, making this outdoor space a perfect blend of adventure, creativity, and safety.
