Bona Vista Primary School

Located in the heart of Baw Baw Shire, Bona Vista Primary School embarked on a multi-stage playground transformation with us, starting with Stage 1 in 2021 and completing the eagerly awaited Stage 2 in 2024. We are proud to have been invited back to continue this journey, bringing the school’s vision to life while ensuring the playground grows alongside their needs and budget.

Understanding how much the students cherished their old playground, we carefully integrated elements from the previous structure into the new design, preserving the essence of their play space while enhancing it with exciting new features. Collaborating directly with the students, their wish list came to life with pommels, a tunnel under the platform, a rock wall, slides, a bannister slide, and even a telescope to encourage imaginative play. The school further enhanced the space with the addition of talk tubes, fostering communication and interaction in a fun and playful way.

The final design perfectly complements Stage 1, with matching color schemes and a cohesive layout that blends old and new elements beautifully. This approach not only creates a unified play environment but also ensures the school’s investment is maximized over time.

We love working with schools to develop staged playground solutions that allow them to build their dream play spaces gradually, accommodating budget considerations while maintaining a consistent and exciting vision. The Bona Vista Primary School playground is a fantastic example of how thoughtful planning and student involvement can result in an engaging and long-lasting space for all to enjoy.
