Oak Park Reserve, Pasco Vale

The Oak Park Reserve in Pasco Vale has been transformed into a fun and exciting playground for children to enjoy, all thanks to the efforts of the Merri-Bek City Council. Nestled next to a picturesque oval surrounded by gum trees, the playground offers a beautiful natural setting for families to picnic and play. The area has been designed with safety in mind, with timer steppers and mudrocks lining the play area, and Play Matta tiles under the swings and at the end of slides to provide a soft landing.

The playground structure is divided into two sections – a junior area and a senior area, both featuring a slanted steel roof for protection from the sun. The junior area features a toddler slide, a step ladder with handrails to help little ones balance, and a steering wheel to spark imagination. The senior section of the playground is accessed via a hang-n-glide flying fox, and boasts a rockwall, rope net climber, and a 1.8m spiral slide, along with panels featuring telescopes and binoculars.

In addition to the main playground structure, the Oak Park Reserve also has freestanding equipment, including a jitterbug for two children to bounce and sway together, an A-frame swing with a toddler and strap seat, and monkey bars for older kids to challenge themselves. The playground is designed to provide a fun and engaging experience for children of all ages, and with the Play Matta tiles easily replaceable, the safety and enjoyment of the playground will last for years to come.
